Hebrews 6: 9-19
In this life there will be unexpected situations, challenges and trouble. Sometimes things come at us so hard we want to give up! David asked, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” {Psalms 11:3]
When the storms of life bear down on you, do you have an anchor to steady your soul? Hebrews 6 tells us that those who are diligent in obedient service to Christ, will be filled with the assurance of hope and that to them, God has made promises and He is faithful to keep them. {Hebrews 6:13-14}
Just because we are under God's care, it doesn't stop the storms from happening, and like a ship out on the seas, when the storms come you need an anchor. Jesus is the anchor of our soul. Jesus is the anchor that keeps us from drifting and being destroyed. God promises us strength, protection, love and peace, even in the storm. Our anchor of hope is Jesus himself, who died for our sins and was raised for our justification. The “rope” of hope on one end is Jesus, our anchor and at the other end is His throne of grace.
Hold On To The Rope
When the enemy comes in to discourage you, hold on to the rope.
When temptation is so strong you feel you can't bear it, hold on to the rope.
Don't grow weary in well doing, hold on to the rope.
Your faith in the hope found in Jesus will keep you, if you just hold on to the rope. {Hebrews 6:18}.
Be Blessed!
